The X-Games, also known as the Extreme Games, is an annual event featuring action sports such as skateboarding, BMX, Freestyle Motocross, Skiing and Snowboarding.
The event was created by ESPN in 1995 and has since grown to become one of the most popular and widely-watched action sports competitions in the world – expanding into Winter action sports shortly thereafter.
Winter X Games 2023
The 2023 Winter X-Games is set to take place in Aspen, Colorado, USA. This event will feature a wide range of competitions which include Snowboarding and Skiing Big Air, Halfpipe, and Slopestyle, as well as Snowmobile Freestyle and SnoCross.

Big Air
Ski Big Air is a competition in which skiers perform aerial tricks off a large jump. Competitors are judged on the difficulty, style, and execution of their tricks.
Halfpipe
Ski Halfpipe is a competition in which skiers perform aerial tricks on a halfpipe, a U-shaped snow structure with steep walls. Skiers are judged on the same criteria as in Ski Big Air.
Slopestyle
Ski Slopestyle is a competition in which skiers perform a series of tricks on a course that includes various obstacles such as rails, boxes, and jumps. Skiers are judged on the difficulty, style, and execution of their tricks, as well as the overall flow of their runs.
Skiers to watch out for
All ski events in the X-Games showcase incredible athleticism, technical skills, and creativity of the athletes. These events are often a highlight of the Winter X-Games and always draw a crowd of excited fans.
